OBJECTIVE CASE PRONOUNS – What are they?

EASY! They are the PRONOUNS used as DIRECT or INDIRECT OBJECTS or OBJECTS of a PREPOSITION.   

OBJECTIVE CASE PRONOUNS:  

Singular                             Plural

ME                                      US

YOU                                    YOU

HIM, HER,IT                      THEM

Examples:

You can see me. (ME is a direct object.)

I can see her and him. (HIM and HER are direct objects.)

Mick gave us a gift.  (US = indirect object. To whom the gift was given =US.)

We gave THEM a cake for HER.  (THEM is an indirect object.  HER is object of the preposition FOR.)

EASY! A PRONOUN is a word which takes the place of a NOUN!

PRO and HE can be interchanged.  The pronoun HE takes the place of PRO, the boxer’s name, a noun.  It is a way to make writing less repetitive.

EASY!   For subjects of sentences use Noun or Nominative Case Pronouns!   

I, YOU, HE-SHE-IT/WE, YOU, THEY

Remember a pronoun replaces a noun.
